Heinrich was born in Tubingen Germany but grew up in the Midwest. Every summer his mother would take him and his brothers back to Germany to visit their family. They always spoke German at home and Heinrich still speaks German with his brothers. Aimée and Heinrich were married in 1982. They have three children who are grown and pursuing their own artistic endeavors. Aimée and Heinrich have collaborated together on several projects.
Heinrich received a Bachelor of Science in Geology but spent most of his college years painting watercolors and playing old time music on his Martin guitar. He became quite good at both but still collects lots of rocks as anyone who looks at his garden can see. He currently plays traditional Irish music as well as old time music for dances.
Heinrich worked on several archaeological digs both in North America and Europe before becoming a professional artist. He has been making ceramic ornaments, sculptures, tiles and murals since 1984. Heinrich built a booth and sold his wares at the Kansas City Renaissance Fair from 1984 to 1998. Aimée and Heinrich designed several collections, including two sets of tableware, for Demdaco. Womens World Magazine featured Heinrich's The Cow Bell, and he has won numerous awards over the years at different art and fine craft shows.
